Mountaineers fall down the Orange trail: For the second year in a row, West Virginia came into their game expecting to roll over Syracuse. For the second year in a row Syracuse upset the heavily favored West Virginia. Syracuse answered every score West Virginia had and more in the 49-23 upset, which gave the Mountaineers their first lost in the Big East this year. Ryan Nassib and Nick Provo connected three times to lead the Orange to their first Big East conference win.

Boomer Sooner goes Boom: Being a 28-point favorite did not matter on Saturday night, as the number 3 team in the nation, Oklahoma, fell to Texas Tech. Rallying behind Seth Doege’s four touchdown performance, Tech was able to score 17 points in the second quarter. Landry Jones of Oklahoma would throw for five of his own, but to no avail, as Texas Tech pulls off the upset of the year.

Tebow brings Broncos back in Miami: Despite a 15-point deficit with under three minutes to go, Tim Tebow brought the Broncos back Sunday afternoon to defeat the Dolphins in overtime. After the running game dominated early on, Denver finally unleashed Tebow. Tebow went on to hook up with Demaryius Thomas to cut the lead to eight with 2:44 left. After an onside kick recovery, Denver tied the Dolphins with a Daniel Fells reception, sending the game into overtime. After a Miami fumble, Denver made the game winning field goal to win their second on the season.

Lions drop second straight as Falcons fly: Atlanta came in with a plan, which was to let Calvin Johnson get his catches and limit everyone else. That is exactly what the Falcons did. Johnson had 115 yards receiving, but Matt Stafford would only throw for 183. Both QBs would be injured at one point in this game, as Matt Stafford will be having an MRI on his leg. The dirty bird wins this one, setting the Lions back.

Patriots run past Jets- In a ground and pound affair, Benjarvis Green-Ellis was the difference with more than 100 yards and two touchdowns. After the Jets scored a late touchdown, the Patriots ran the clock down with a six-minute drive to sink the Jets on Sunday afternoon. The Patriots improve to 4-1, while the Jets have lost their third straight game, making them 2-3.

Eagles fall to mighty Buffalo- Michael Vick broke the all-time record for rushing yards by a Quarterback, but the Eagles continue to struggle. The Cinderella Bills continued to show that they are a real threat, as Fred Jackson propelled them to 4-1. Philadelphia fell to dead last in the NFC East with the loss, and now are 1-4. The “dream team” has been more like a nightmare this year.

Just Win, Baby!- After a rough loss in the Raider family, the Oakland Raiders did well by the late great Al Davis. Trailing the Texans almost the entire day, Jason Campbell was able to overcome in the fourth quarter. Campbell threw a TD to Chaz Schilens to start the final quarter and never looked back. After the game, all were emotional, and before every game every home team in the league did a moment of silence for the great Al Davis.
